Sunbury Community Festival (SunFest) has been a constant for the local community: with a history spanning over 48 years, we take immense pride in being the largest community-run festival in Melbourne’s North. Every year, we bring together a vibrant and diverse community, attracting over 20,000 attendees who come from all corners of Victoria. Over the years, we have become more than just an event; we have grown into a cherished tradition that brings people together to create lasting memories.

SunFest is a two-day, free-to-enter community festival. SunFest offers a broad range of food trucks, community groups, local traders, businesses, two days of entertainment on the Main Stage, a Grand Street Parade on the Saturday afternoon, Fireworks and Torchlight Parade on the Saturday night and on Sunday we hold the SunFest Colour Run. We have stalls and carnival rides over both days. With so many aspects to the festival there is something for everyone!

SunFest is run solely by volunteers. Volunteers serve as the lifeblood of SunFest, infusing the event with their unwavering passion, dedication, and commitment. Their invaluable contributions are the driving force of SunFest. From event logistics to community engagement, volunteers invest their time and resources, ensuring the festival's seamless operation and vibrant atmosphere.

Committee Member
Dedicated volunteer who generously contributes their time and energy during the planning and implementation of SunFest. As a voting member, they actively participate in monthly meetings, yearly AGMs and allows them to engage in all aspects of the varied sub-committees including operations, entertainment, social media and marketing, parades, sponsorship, colour run and stalls.

Joining as a General Committee Member is an opportunity to be an integral part of this community celebration and make a meaningful impact!
SunFest
Friend of Sunfest
Dedicated volunteer who generously contributes their time during the SunFest weekend. As a non-voting SunFest member, their membership is valid exclusively for the duration of the event, allowing them to actively participate in various festival activities that defines SunFest.

Joining as a Friend of SunFest is an opportunity to actively contribute to the success of the SunFest weekend while supporting the local community, creating unforgettable memories and enhancing your skills!

Junior Friend of SunFest
Dedicated junior volunteer (under the age of 18) who generously contributes their time during the SunFest weekend. As a non-voting SunFest member, their membership is valid exclusively for the duration of the event, allowing them to actively participate in various festival activities that defines SunFest.
